Stihl FS 55

Long grass, weeds and undergrowth are no match for the Stihl FS55 brushcutter. The FS55 is from Stihl’s range of smaller brushcutters that are suited to maintenance of the larger garden.

Stihl’s fuel efficient 2-Mix 2-stroke engine is fitted to the FS55 and provides plenty of power to the nylon line cutting head. The cutter head is a bump feed head which means that when the mowing line is worn, you can simply tap the head on the ground gently and more line will be released automatically. When it is time to refill the cutting head, reloading cord is very easy.

For tougher mowing conditions, an optional metal grass cutting blade is available.

The bike handle configuration makes the FS55 suited to prolonged work in larger areas. A shoulder harness is supplied with the FS55 and, during operation, most of the weight of the brushcutter is taken by the shoulder rather than the arms. The bike handles are comfortable to hold and are simply used for ‘steering’ the brushcutter.

Stihl manufacture a large range of brushcutters, many of which are used by professional operators. Although from the homeowner range, the FS55 is still built to Stihl’s exacting standards to ensure durability and reliability.

All our STIHL machines are run, checked and tuned and given full PDI (Pre-delivery Inspection) before leaving our premises. This means we will unpack your Stihl, start it, test it and individually tune it for maximum power and efficiency. We ensure that your machine is set up and ready to run when it is handed over to you.
