Stihl FS 55 R

Long grass, weeds and undergrowth are no match for the Stihl FS55R brushcutter. The FS55R is from Stihl’s range of smaller brushcutters that are suited to maintenance of the larger garden.

Stihl’s fuel efficient 2-Mix 2-stroke engine is fitted to the FS55R and provides plenty of power to the nylon line cutting head. The cutter head is a bump feed head which means that when the mowing line is worn, you can simply tap the head on the ground gently and more line will be released automatically. When it is time to refill the cutting head, reloading cord is very easy.

For tougher mowing conditions, an optional metal grass cutting blade is available.

The comfortable loop handle configuration makes picking up and putting down the FS55R quick and easy. The FS55R can be used with or without a harness. Should you prefer to use a harness, the FS55R is supplied with a shoulder harness as standard to help distribute the weight of the brushcutter.

Stihl manufacture a large range of brushcutters, many of which are used by professional operators. Although from the homeowner range, the FS55R is still built to Stihl’s exacting standards to ensure durability and reliability.

All our STIHL machines are run, checked and tuned and given full PDI (Pre-delivery Inspection) before leaving our premises. This means we will unpack your Stihl, start it, test it and individually tune it for maximum power and efficiency. We ensure that your machine is set up and ready to run when it is handed over to you.
